Despite the known health effects of inhalable aerosol hazards, personal sampling is rarely conducted for workers at risk of exposure, partially due to the cost of equipment. To address the limitations of current technologies, a low-cost inhalable sampler was developed, a prototype developed, and evaluated in the laboratory. Preliminary testing of the low-cost sampler showed good agreement with the proposed low-velocity inhalability curve.
